The Open-On Chip Debugger (openocd) aims to provide debugging, in-system programming and boundary-scan testing for embedded target devices. The targets are interfaced using JTAG (IEEE 1149.1) compliant hardware, but this may be extended to other connection types in the future.

The Amontec Chameleon POD is a generic and re-configurable dongle able to emulate a large part of specific parallel to serial interface.
The first goal of the Chameleon POD was to emulates different JTAG interface using the same low cost and robust hardware including an onboard Xilinx CoolRunner CPLD and a 32MHz Crytal..
Amontec provides all documentations and all schematic needed if you want to do you own Chameleon POD configuration! The Chameleon POD keeps his configuration after a power-down.

The Amontec JTAG-Accelerator is a controller speeding-up the serial JTAG interface protocol from the EPP port of the parallel port of a computer.
The Amontec JTAG Accelerator controller was designed for the Amontec Chameleon POD over the EPP mode and was implemented in a configuration called: chm_appl_amontec_jtag_accelerator.amtsvf.

The Amontec Chameleon Programmer is very quickly installed and very easy-to-use.
In fact, it allows the designers of 32-bits processors, of ARM7 of ARM9, of FPGA, of CPLD and of Boundary Scan concepts to configure the Chameleon POD with the pre-compiled they need for their specific development tools.
Please ask Amontec if you want a new or custom configuration of the Chameleon POD.

Also, please verify to use the last version of the Chameleon POD programmer and the last version of the pre-compiled configurations.
